MPDR Archives Blog Post #26 - August 21, 2014

PAUSE for 3 mindful breaths
I am choosing to continue with the theme of gratitude at the suggestion of one of the recipients of these daily reminder emails.  It is hard to disagree with the good sense of quotes, articles and videos espousing the virtue and value of gratitude. But then we move on, and the "good idea" of gratitude gets filed away among many other good ideas.. Perhaps, several reminders of the value of practicing gratitude may inspire motivation to transform the "idea of gratitude" into a "grateful way of being", so that gratitude may become second nature. If we are motivated to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, then the next logical step is to form an intention, and create a plan to remind ourselves to practice.
Follow the link below if you are interested in reading an article that explores the link between gratitude and attention that may perhaps inspire you to integrate gratitude practice into your life.
Inspiration to continue the practice may flow from what you notice about your moment to moment experience with a gratitude practice.
